About the job   

We are currently recruiting one Electrical Apprentice to join our Happy Valley team, commencing 28 January 2027.  

Our Apprentice Program is designed for individuals seeking a rewarding new career pathway, including mature-age applicants, career changers, and those looking to develop new skills and gain a nationally recognised qualification.

You don’t need previous trade experience to apply, what matters most is your willingness to learn a trade, have a passion for hands-on work, your commitment to safety and your ability to work collaboratively with others.

In addition, your responsibilities will include:  

Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day.  

You will be:  

• Supporting maintenance teams with day-to-day operations. 

• Learning to operate tools, machinery, and vehicles. 

• Attending TAFE and off-the-job training as required. 

• Collaborating with your team to complete projects safely and on time. 

• Learning about asset management, safety practices, and compliance standards. 

• Actively participating in team discussions and continuous improvement. 

• Committing to and successfully completing all components of your TAFE studies and training requirements. 

Your success in this role will come from:  

• A willingness to learn skills in this field and a strong work ethic. 

• Clear and respectful communication. 

• Basic computer and data entry skills. 

• Ability to learn and follow safety procedures.  

• Actively engaging with training opportunities. 

• Demonstrating pride in your work and accountability to your team.
