SA Water is seeking an Infrastructure Performance Analyst to support the development and implementation of performance reporting and analytical insights to evaluate the delivery of capital infrastructure projects. This role focuses on analysing project performance in areas such as budget adherence, milestone achievement, forecast accuracy, and alignment with intended outputs and outcomes, ensuring that Sustainable Infrastructure has a robust understanding of project progress and impact.

The role is to provide analytical support to key stakeholders across the Sustainable Infrastructure group, delivering actionable performance insights that guide infrastructure planning, resource allocation, and investment decisions.

In addition, your responsibilities will include:

• Develop and deliver comprehensive performance reports on capital infrastructure projects using Microsoft Power BI, ensuring a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
• Collaborate with internal teams to consolidate and analyse data from multiple sources to assess performance metrics against budgets, project milestones, forecasts, and expected outputs and outcomes.
• Support the existing asset performance team during peak demand, assisting in the analysis of infrastructure asset performance to ensure reliable and consistent data flow for decision-makers.
• Support data quality and governance initiatives by maintaining accuracy within key systems, identifying data inconsistencies, and collaborating with the Infrastructure Knowledge team to implement improvements.
• Undertake financial and operational analyses, including cost, budget tracking, and forecasting, to deliver insights into project spending and resource utilization.
• Assist in developing analysis and reports that monitor infrastructure outcomes, assessing the implications of performance against projected timelines, budgets, and risk indicators.

Your success in this role will come from:

• Post-secondary qualifications in IT related to Business Intelligence and data analytics.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Power BI and Excel skills, knowledge, and experience.
• Knowledge and experience with water infrastructure, project, and asset management principles.
• Experience with software systems including SQL, Python, Visual Basic, GIS.
• Good written and oral communications.
