About the job  

We’re looking for an inspiring leader to enable, empower, and develop our people as we deliver on our Engineering Purpose and unlock our full potential.

As the Lead Engineering Delivery Services, you’ll be accountable for the performance of a dynamic team that supports Engineering in delivering on Wastewater capital works commitments. You’ll collaborate closely with business partners to achieve both Engineering and organisational goals for our Wastewater assets.

About the Person

This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership capability, and strategic vision. You would have extensive experience with Wastewater delivery projects. You’re a strategic and people-focused leader with a passion for engineering excellence and sustainability. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Support and develop a high-performing engineering team through recruitment, coaching, and fostering collaboration.
  • Champion safety and sustainability by ensuring compliance and promoting a strong safety culture.
  • Drive efficiency in capital portfolio delivery through strategic collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Deliver customer-focused engineering solutions that meet expectations and provide value for money.
  • Develop people and culture by supporting professional growth, knowledge sharing, and succession planning.
  • Build strategic relationships across teams to ensure consistency and successful multi-disciplinary outcomes.
  • Promote continuous improvement and service excellence by enhancing processes, standards, and innovation.

Your success in this role will come from: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (B.Eng.) or tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Be recognised by Engineers Australia as a chartered Engineer or ability to obtain by 30th of June 2026.
  • Demonstrated project management experience with proven ability to deliver outcomes within Wastewater projects.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to liaise and coordinate across multiple teams.
  • Experience in preparing professional reports and technical documentation.
  • Demonstrated design management experience within engineering or related fields.
  • Associate Diploma or postgraduate qualifications in Project Management, Business Management, or related areas.
  • Relevant equivalent experience in project coordination or management.
