About the job

Join our People and Safety team as a People Services Coordinator, where you will play a key role in delivering high-quality HR services and enhancing employee experiences across our organisation. Your responsibilities will include responding to employee and leader queries, preparing employment lifecycle documentation, maintaining accurate HR records, and supporting the implementation of process improvements—all of which will reflect our commitment to excellence. Additionally, you will contribute to maintaining and enhancing our HR processes leveraging platforms like Chris21 and ServiceNow to ensure a seamless employee journey.

Alongside your ability to manage competing priorities, you will bring capability in interpreting industrial instruments, an understanding of position management principles and sizing, and a collaborative approach to working with stakeholders. About the Person

We are looking for a motivated and passionate individual who thrives in fast-paced environments, embraces new challenges with enthusiasm, and is eager to grow and make a real difference.

Your calm, professional approach under pressure allows you to manage competing priorities effectively, and you have a knack for knowing when and how to push back when needed. Ideally, you will bring experience with HR systems like Chris21 and ERP platforms, along with a solid understanding of awards and classifications. Strong organisational and communication skills are key to your success, as is your ability to adapt and shine in an ever-changing environment.

About People and Safety

The People and Safety group are focused on ensuring workforce well-being and success through strategies such as talent attraction, diversity, and collaboration, while also prioritising health and safety efforts to prevent harm and promote overall well-being and career development.

In addition, your responsibilities will include: 

Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day. 

You will:

  • Respond to employee and leader queries, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Prepare accurate employee correspondence, contracts, and documentation.
  • Offer generalist HR advice and escalate to specialist teams as required.
  • Support HR systems and contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Balance competing priorities while maintaining high-quality service.

Your success in this role will come from: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Law, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, including attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Advanced knowledge of HR principles, practices, and legislation, coupled with critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR-related technology platforms, with a focus on leveraging systems to drive efficiency.
