About the role

We are looking for a Performance Analyst to join our dynamic Finance team. In this role, you will manage our Laboratories' annual pricing and commerciality processes, identify opportunities and risks, and provide data-driven recommendations to senior management. You will also be responsible for overseeing the Laboratories' KPI performance reporting, enabling informed decision-making and supporting continuous business improvement.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in management accounting, cost modelling, and performance analysis, with the ability to critically assess data and deliver actionable insights. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams and contributing to the growth of both regulated and non-regulated business areas.

About Business Insights and Excellence

The Business Insights and Excellence group drives operational excellence by enabling best business practices, economic pricing, financial management, supply chain management, and Risk Governance & Assurance to support the broader business and partners in delivering reliable, cost-effective, sustainable, and future-focused outcomes.

In addition, your responsibilities will include:

Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day.

You will:

  • Manage the annual pricing review, provide recommendations to ensure competitive pricing, and maintain financial models for tender submissions.
  • Develop and manage KPI performance reporting, identify metrics to inform management decisions, and analyse performance trends for continuous improvement.
  • Oversee accurate cost allocation between regulated and non-regulated services and ensure proper budgeting for laboratory services.
  • Analyse and report on customer satisfaction metrics to support the growth of external business.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Economics, Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in management accounting, cost modelling, performance reporting, and budgeting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • CA/CPA qualification and membership (highly regarded).
  • Experience in laboratory operations or a regulated industry would be beneficial.
