About the role

In this role you will provide the Sustainability Infrastructure Engineering team with specialist scheduling and cost control support, ideally using P6 scheduling tool. In addition to project and/or program performance analysis and consolidated portfolio reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and implement a collaborative, continuous improvement approach to project controls, ensuring alignment with the Sustainable Infrastructure business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain Engineering project schedules in alignment with approved service agreements and the overall project timeline, ensuring coordination with relevant stakeholders.
  • Create and update Engineering project schedules in accordance with approved service agreements and ensure alignment with the overarching project schedule and stakeholder expectations.
  • Identify critical path dependencies and potential schedule risks, and proactively facilitate the resolution of obstacles and roadblocks between Project Management and the Engineering team.
  • Monitor and manage any deviations from the service agreement, ensuring they are accurately tracked in relevant systems and tools, so that cost and schedule baselines and forecasts remain aligned with the approved scope.

About the Person

An ideal candidate will have an engineering background with proven experience using a scheduling tool. Having worked in a project controlling function ensuring the project and scheduling is complete on time.  

To be successful in this role, it is necessary to demonstrate exceptional communication skills, having previous experience in routinely fostering, building, and maintaining effective and meaningful relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, project management and/or relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in Engineering project scheduling and control.
  • Advanced level of proficiency in scheduling software ideally with MS Project Server and P6.
  • Proven experience in managing portfolio schedules at an advanced level.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, build rapport, and convey messages or ideas related to new processes or changes to existing ones.
