This group will provide a single point of accountability for growth and dedicated oversight, focus and responsibility.
About the Job
Forming part of the newly created Growth Business Group, and reporting into the Manager Growth Intelligence, our Growth Data Management Officer is responsible for managing the capture, storage, and governance of growth-related data and information, ensuring it is structured and easily accessible for all SA Water systems. This position plays a crucial role for SA Water, as they will be supporting the accuracy and efficiency of growth intelligence across the organisation.
About the Person
The ideal person for the Growth Data Management officer role is a detail-oriented and analytical professional with strong experience in data management and governance – particularly within growth-related environments.
They will have a solid understanding of data structures and governance processes and be able to effectively collaborate across teams and stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
This person thrives in both structured and agile environments, they’re confident in managing complex data sets and systems, and experienced in ensuring data is accessible and accurate to support business intelligence efforts.
They have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to drive meaningful insights that contribute to SA Water’s broader growth strategy.
Your responsibilities for this opportunity
- Capture and ensure growth-related data is recorded in a consistent and structured format.
- Implement processes for easy ingestion and exportation of data into SA Water systems.
- Provide actionable insights to support growth and demand forecasting for key business areas.
- Use forecasting tools to inform asset growth and production strategies.
- Implement data governance protocols to ensure the integrity and accuracy of growth-related data.
- Manage the growth intelligence information and enquiry database.
Your success in this role will come from:
- Tertiary qualification in Information Management, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in data management and governance, particularly in a growth-related environment.
- Strong understanding of data structures, metadata, and governance processes.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Excellent organisational and analytical skills, with attention to detail and the ability to handle large datasets.
