About the job
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Supervisor to join the Maintenance Execution team based at Berri in the heart of the Riverland. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of ten electrical trades to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable maintenance and capital delivery of water and wastewater assets across the Riverland area, the wider Murray Darling Basin and other regions within South Australia as required. Your efforts will directly support customer expectations, encourage a high standard of work and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
About the Person
Our ideal candidate is an experienced and proactive leader with a strong background in maintenance execution and team management. They have expertise in overseeing trades and ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable maintenance and capital delivery of water and wastewater assets. Committed to upholding industry standards and best practices, they prioritize safety, compliance, and continuous improvement in all aspects of their work.
With strong problem-solving skills, they can analyse operational challenges and implement effective solutions, whether working independently or collaboratively within a team. They demonstrate a solid understanding of workplace health and safety regulations, environmental considerations, and asset management processes. Effective communication and leadership skills are essential, along with proficiency in using computer-based maintenance management systems. Experience in managing projects, driving innovation, and mentoring team members is highly valued.
This role requires adaptability, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in varied environments, including regional and remote locations, flexible hours, and on-call duties.
About Operations and Maintenance
The Operations & Maintenance team oversees the management of our water, wastewater and River Murray activities and conducts operational control activities for a secure water supply. The team is responsible for both planned and unplanned maintenance activities, integrating corrective, preventive, predictive, and precision maintenance strategies. They aim to meet availability, performance, cost, and risk targets by leveraging technical asset maintenance and reliability expertise. Operations & Maintenance strives to deliver smart and reliable services to customers while enhancing overall operational efficiency.
