About the job

Join our team as a Talent Consultant, stepping in to cover parental leave and help us find the best people for the job while also pushing for more diversity, fairness, and inclusion in our ranks. We're after someone who's passionate about recruiting, experience in end-to-end recruitment, and is great at coaching and supporting our hiring managers during a 12-month stint. In this gig, you'll be side by side with our HR Business Partners and operational leaders, steering our hiring decisions and building up a workforce that's ready to tackle anything.

Pitch in with us to meet our hiring targets by making sure we've got the right hands-on deck when and where we need them. As a Talent Acquisition Consultant, you'll be the go-to for finding and picking out talent in our regional areas, giving crucial support to keep our business running smoothly. This job's fast-paced and varied, giving you the chance to dive into a mix of tasks and help shape our team and culture along the way.

About you

You will be customer centric, resilient, able to work autonomously, a great team player, agile and comfortable working at a fast pace with the ability to adapt swiftly to change in priorities. You will have a strong focus on both active and passive candidate management, stakeholder engagement and your passion for people will shine through.

A crucial component of this role includes building and leveraging key stakeholder relationships, whilst developing proactive sourcing strategies for regional areas. You will have demonstrated ability to identify and attract talent in an increasingly difficult candidate market, with the capacity to manage a high volume of positions.

 

In addition, your responsibilities will include:

  • Partner with our hiring leaders to determine recruitment plans and execute a best practise sourcing strategy.
  • Coach and support Hiring Managers through the recruitment process.
  • Proactively manage day to day processes to ensure data integrity, reporting and ensure candidate communications remain consistent.
  • Coordinate interview debriefs and candidate review meetings and participate on interview panels when appropriate.
  • Getting to know your candidate market by advertising, talent search, completing phone screens, talent pools, scheduling interviews, negotiating offers, and making recommendations.

To hit the ground running in this role, you will likely have:

  • Blue collar or field staff recruitment experience is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in end-to-end recruitment.
  • High volume recruitment experience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders and candidates on complex and sensitive issues.
  • Effective use of candidate screening techniques to generate high quality shortlists.
  • Experience working within recruitment systems (PageUp preferred), LinkedIn Recruiter and Seek Talent Search and other sourcing tools.
  • Strong ability to work effectively under pressure and strong time management skills.
