About the job:

We are seeking a Development Services Officer who will Deliver customer growth through the management of complex requests for multiple inter-related service applications, the administration of SA Water frameworks supporting the Development Industry, and key customer management.

In addition, your responsibilities will include:

• Analyse and manage complex, interrelated service applications for developments and work with the customers and internal stakeholders to determine the requirements to facilitate a successful connection.
• Identify and action non-standard work for estimation of costs and ensure correct fees are passed on to the customer.
• Provide expert & accurate information/response to customers and relevant stakeholders, within specified timeframes in an empathetic, timely and tailored manner.
• Review Final Plans uploaded to the State Planning Commission to facilitate clearance of SA Water requirements and allow for creation of new titles, confirming easements are correct.
• Deliver professional, clear and accurate customer service and advice across all functions undertaken in the Development Services Team.
• Identify and participate in service and business improvements and procedures and process documentation is current and supports the delivery of water/recycled water and sewerage services to SA Water customers.

Your success in this role will come from:

• Qualifications in Customer Service, Business Administration or Land Development related field, or equivalent extensive demonstrated experience.
• Experience in IBM Maximo applications.
• Demonstrated experience in the provision of exemplary customer service and telephone techniques.
• Knowledge of, and experience in, applying the Planning Development and Infrastructure Act 2016 and Community Title legislation
• Understanding the principles of water and sewerage design and construction.
• Demonstrated understanding of the Waterworks and Sewerage Act legislation and corporate policies relating to land developments, mains extensions and connections.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
