About the role

Reporting to the Team Leader Facilities Management, this role is responsible for delivering high-quality, efficient, and compliant FM services and projects across hard and soft services. You’ll manage strategic supplier relationships, guide contract and compliance performance, and lead complex projects.

About the person

You are a solutions-oriented Facilities Management professional with substantial experience in contract management either as a supplier or client. With the confidence and capability to lead impactful projects, you engage with stakeholders at all levels including senior leaders.

About Business Insights and Excellence

The Business Insights and Excellence group drives operational excellence by enabling best business practices, economic pricing, financial management, supply chain management, and Risk Governance & Assurance to support the broader business and partners in delivering reliable, cost-effective, sustainable, and future-focused outcomes.

In addition, your responsibilities will include:

Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day.

You will:

  • Lead the review and periodical update of SA Water FM related Procedures and Guidelines.
  • Acting as a key liaison and escalation point for stakeholders, suppliers, and service partners to ensure timely issue resolution and continuous service improvement.
  • Driving innovation and sustainability in FM through initiatives in technology adoption, energy and water efficiency, waste reduction, and people experience.
  • Supporting service delivery through contract optimisation, performance analysis, risk assessments, and business continuity planning.
  • Collaborating with Capital Delivery and Asset Planning teams to ensure the seamless transition of projects into operational services.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Substantial experience in FM service delivery or contract management—client-side or supplier-side—in a complex or regulated environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships, influence outcomes, and present strategic advice.
  • A proactive, resourceful mindset, capable of identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing innovative solutions.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Property, Construction, Procurement, Project Management, or demonstrated experience in FM and/or asset management
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards (WHS, DDA, NCC, etc.) and the ability to manage safety and compliance programs.
