About the job  

In this role as Learning & Development Specialist, you will lead the development, implementation and ongoing management of SA Water’s learning systems and processes across Cornerstone OnDemand, LinkedIn Learning and Power BI. You’ll ensure all legislative and regulatory training requirements outlined in SA Water’s Training Frameworks are consistently met. This position plays a key role in strengthening our learning systems, improving compliance, and enabling a capable, future-ready workforce.

About the Person

You bring solid experience working with Learning Management Systems, and end-to-end HRIS capability will be highly regarded. Experience with Cornerstone OnDemand is a strong advantage. You’re naturally analytical, curious about the “why,” and willing to challenge surface-level answers. With strong systems knowledge and the ability to build effective relationships, you work confidently and autonomously to deliver high-quality outcomes.

 

About People and Safety

The People and Safety group are focused on ensuring workforce well-being and success through strategies such as talent attraction, diversity, and collaboration, while also prioritising health and safety efforts to prevent harm and promote overall well-being and career development.

In addition, your responsibilities will include: 

Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day. 

You will: 

  • Lead the development, management and optimisation of the Learning Managing System (LMS)
  • Oversee compliance management & reporting
  • Ensure adherence to data privacy regulations and manage sensitive and private information according to SA Water policy.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to end-users to maximise LMS capabilities.

Your success in this role will come from: 

  • Proficiency in learning management system governance and management within highly regulated operational environments.
  • Experience managing data feeds and Power BI Reporting.
  • Experience delivering reporting for technical training and compliance.
  • High level of computer literacy, including advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail, combined with a demonstrated ability to use initiative and judgement.
  • Certification in Cornerstone on Demand (highly regarded).
