About the job: 

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager Growth Central, Manager Growth External Enquiries will lead and mange three direct reports: Growth External Enquiry Triage Lead, Growth Complex External Enquiry Lead and Growth Strategic Communications Specialist. Their key focus will be to lead a centralised team responsible for triaging, prioritising, and responding to stakeholder enquiries, ensuring efficient resource allocation and reducing urgent break-in work across the Growth Group 

About the Person: 

The ideal candidate for the Manager Growth External Enquiries role will be a highly organised and detail-oriented professional with a strong commitment to maintaining compliance with organisational and legal standards. They will excel in leading the triage, prioritisation, and response to strategic stakeholder enquiries, ensuring timely and high-quality communication. This individual will have exceptional skills in developing and implementing an External Enquiries framework, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and strategic alignment in all communications. They will proactively liaise with internal and external stakeholders, providing expert advice on strategic communication approaches and collaborating with senior leaders to develop proactive engagement strategies. Additionally, they will oversee resource allocation for efficient enquiry management, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and represent the Growth Group in high-level discussions.

In addition, your responsibilities will include: 

  • Lead the triage, prioritisation, and response to strategic stakeholder enquiries to ensure timely and high-quality communication. 
  • Develop and implement an External Enquiries framework to streamline enquiry handling and improve response efficiency 
  • Provide expert advice on strategic communication approaches, ensuring responses are aligned with organisational priorities and political sensitivities. 
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to develop proactive stakeholder engagement strategies. 
  • Represent the Growth Group in high-level discussions related to external enquiries, advocating for best practices and continuous improvement. 
  • Oversee the centralised allocation of resources to manage external enquiries efficiently and minimise disruption to Growth Group teams 

Your success in this role will come from:  

  • A tertiary qualification in business, communications, public policy, or a related field, or equivalent experience.  
  • You have prior experience in leading enquiry management functions in a high-profile, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.  
  • You have strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to navigate complex relationships and political sensitivities.  
  • Proven ability to develop frameworks, systems, and processes that improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.  
  • You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
