About the Job

Reporting to the Manager Risk you will partner with the business to promote the delivery of risk practices in line with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to enable risk-based decisions. You will enhance the organisation’s risk culture and risk management maturity to support achievement of the vision and strategy. With a primary focus on the operations, infrastructure and finance sectors of the business, you will liaise with and support key internal stakeholders and embedded risk professionals within your assigned portfolio of business groups.

The Business Insights and Excellence group drives operational excellence by enabling best business practices, economic pricing, supply chain management, and performance optimisation to support the broader business and partners in delivering reliable, cost-effective, sustainable, and future-focused outcomes.

Your responsibilities for this opportunity 

Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day. 

You will: 

• Lead the business in risk management activities through a partnering approach aligned with the RMF.
• Provide expert risk advice and support for significant projects and initiatives.
• Maintain up-to-date risk information for quarterly reporting to Executive, the Board, and Sub-Committees.
• Drive risk maturity improvements via activities outlined in the Risk Improvement Plan.
• Build a Risk Champions Network to ensure consistent risk practices and support through working groups.

Your success in this role will come from: 

• Recent experience in risk management or related fields such as audit, strategy, or project management.
• Proven application of risk management principles and practices.
• Proficiency in GRC software and advanced Excel capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
