About the job

Our SCADA Environment Support team are critical to the operational SCADA environment within SA Water and are technical experts committed to supporting our operational teams and maintaining, upgrading, and continually developing technologies to deliver world class solutions and services.

This permanent opportunity based in the heart of the Adelaide CBD will attract a high performing, technical professional who wants to make a difference. This role will be responsible for providing technical support for the SCADA environment systems, whilst engaging with key stakeholders and business partners to develop and maintain the overall SCADA Environment.

In addition, your responsibilities will include:

  • Extensive involvement with the Operational Control Centre, field staff and other key stakeholders
  • Complete service requests, apply technical skills and provide Guidance and advice related to SCADA Environment team.
  • Effective administration of SCADA applications, including ensuring high availability, reliability, security and managing product lifecycles to ensure they are maintained and secured appropriately.
  • Work with projects delivering SCADA infrastructure to ensure standards compliance and the successful and complete system integration of new infrastructure, applications, and processes, including troubleshooting, and identifying improvements.
  • Assisting in supporting the Desktop fleet of the SCADA Environment, in configuration, deployment and maintenance.
  • Provide specialist knowledge and support for a range of specialised fields, such as, Alarm Management, Telemetry configuration and Support, Desktop systems deployment and maintenance, SCADA Application programming and design, Legacy System Support and Historical Data systems reporting and management.
  • Develop innovative solutions to new and/or complex technical issues

Your success in this role will come from:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience with SCADA applications, supporting software and how it integrates into an operational environment
  • Experience in systems software and hardware programming and configuration such as iFix, Historian, OSI PI, RTUs, telemetry components, Visual Studio, VBA, PowerShell, Isagraf and/or Ladder logic programming
  • Demonstrated ability to work with limited supervision
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to build effective and collaborative relationships to provide excellent customer service
  • Competent in communicating and influencing across the business to drive outcomes
