About the role

The Stakeholder Engagement Adviser will facilitate the successful delivery of high-profile capital projects and strategic business initiatives by designing and implementing effective engagement approaches. This role is vital in valuing stakeholder input and positively enhancing SA Water's reputation.

About Customer, Community and Engagement

The Customer, Community and Engagement group drives customer outcomes by delivering exceptional experiences and tailored solutions that grow business, revenue, and the state economy, while actively engaging with communities, and collecting valuable feedback.

In addition, your responsibilities will include:

Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day. 

You will: 

  • Provide expert advice on managing complex business issues, building strong relationships across teams, and proactively identifying and mitigating stakeholder risks.
  • Lead the design and execution of stakeholder engagement campaigns that support large capital projects, integrating stakeholder feedback into decision-making processes.
  • Evaluate and report on engagement campaigns, adapting strategies based on stakeholder feedback and evolving circumstances.
  • Stay informed on engagement theories and tools, continuously enhancing our practices to ensure meaningful stakeholder involvement.

Your success in this role will come from:

  • Tertiary qualifications in planning, project management, communications, law or a related field, or extensive equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record in planning and implementing effective stakeholder engagement programs for large projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in presenting to diverse audiences.
  • Strong ability to manage challenging stakeholder interactions and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.
