About you

You are a Talent Acquisition professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing end-to-end recruitment. You build strong relationships, partner effectively with stakeholders, and provide sound advice on sourcing and selection.

You bring experience across diverse or high-volume hiring, ideally within construction, infrastructure, utilities, or similar industries, and enjoy working in collaborative, high-energy teams. You are also committed to inclusive and equitable recruitment practices that support diversity, equity and inclusion outcomes.

About the job  

The Talent Acquisition Adviser position is designed to enhance overall business effectiveness by delivering sound recruitment practices, strategic sourcing, and expert selection advice, while managing end-to-end recruitment in a fast-paced and complex environment. This role requires support across diverse hiring needs, including desirable experience in apprentice and trainee recruitment, and partnering closely with stakeholders. Success in this position will be driven by experience within construction, infrastructure, utilities, or other blue-collar sectors, complemented by a background in agency settings or other fast-paced, complex environments. A background within an internal Talent Acquisition or broader HR function is highly valued, along with an energetic and bubbly approach that aligns well with the team culture. You will bring strong relationship-building skills and thrive in a collaborative team environment.

About People and Safety

The People and Safety group are focused on ensuring workforce well-being and success through strategies such as talent attraction, diversity, and collaboration, while also prioritising health and safety efforts to prevent harm and promote overall well-being and career development.

In addition, your responsibilities will include: 

Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day. 

You will: 

  • Contribute effectively to the team ensuring efforts are aligned toward achieving team goals
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the recruitment function and it’s plans
  • Follow recruitment governance and organisational compliance requirements
  • Maintain accurate recruitment systems and records
  • Support targeted recruitment campaigns
  • Provide guidance and coaching to hiring managers on recruitment processes and selection

Your success in this role will come from: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business or Human Resource Management (desirable), or experience in HR Operational, Talent Acquisition or Recruitment function
  • Experience recruiting in construction infrastructure utilities field / blue collar is highly desirable
  • Exposure or experience using ATS PageUp is desirable
  • Previous recruitment experience Internal or Agency
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively to a diversity of people on a range of sensitive and complex issues
  • Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in a range of recruitment and selection activities
