About the Company

At SA Water, our work sustains life. Every day, we deliver safe, reliable water and wastewater services to more than 1.8 million South Australians, supporting healthy communities across our state.

Behind this essential service are people who care. From engineering and science to construction, digital, operations and customer experience, every role plays a part. We bring our authentic selves to work, driven by purpose, supporting one another to deliver work that truly matters.

About the job

As a Talent Acquisition Adviser, you will join a collaborative and high-performing Talent Acquisition team that plays a critical role in attracting the people who help deliver essential services to communities across South Australia. This is a genuinely diverse portfolio where no two days are the same. You will partner closely with leaders across our Operations and Maintenance business group, recruiting for a broad range of operational, trade, technical and frontline roles, while also supporting recruitment across other areas of the business as required. From sourcing hard-to-find talent and delivering volume recruitment campaigns to supporting contingent labour engagements, you will help deliver talent solutions that keep our essential services running.

If you are looking for a role that combines stakeholder partnering, sourcing, operational recruitment, and project work, while being part of a supportive team that genuinely enjoys working together, this could be the opportunity for you.

About the Person

You are an adaptable, customer-focused recruiter who loves building strong relationships and delivering great outcomes. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, balancing competing priorities, and partnering with leaders to solve workforce challenges.

You bring experience from an internal Talent Acquisition function, and ideally you've also worked within a recruitment agency environment, giving you a well-rounded perspective on attracting and securing talent. Experience across both internal and agency recruitment will be highly regarded.

You're confident recruiting across a variety of role types and enjoy supporting operational, trade, technical and frontline workforces. Exposure to contingent labour and contractor management would be advantageous.

Most importantly, you're proactive, collaborative and genuinely care about the experience of both candidates and hiring leaders. You build trust quickly, provide practical solutions, and take pride in finding the right people at the right time to help the business succeed.

About People and Safety

The People and Safety business group supports the capability, wellbeing, and safety of our workforce. The team brings together human resources, talent attraction, organisational development, and safety and wellbeing to ensure our people can do their best work, safely and sustainably

Working in People and Safety means shaping culture, attracting and developing talent, supporting leaders and teams, and strengthening safe, inclusive workplaces across South Australia. Your work will help ensure we have the right people, skills, and environments to deliver essential water and wastewater services now and into the future.

In addition, your responsibilities will include:

Creating meaningful connections with our people, customers and communities through communication and engagement that builds trust, inspires understanding and supports the delivery of our strategy across South Australia.

You will:

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment across a diverse portfolio of operational, technical, frontline and professional roles.
  • Partner with leaders to understand workforce needs and deliver effective recruitment and sourcing solutions.
  • Coordinate contingent labour and contractor engagements while building strong relationships with agency partners.
  • Deliver high-volume recruitment campaigns and projects, ensuring a seamless candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, recruitment best practice and the ongoing success of the Talent Acquisition function.

Your success in this role will come from:

  • Knowledge of e-recruitment tools.
  • Previous recruitment experience Internal or Agency.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively to a diversity of people on a range of sensitive and complex issues.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in a range of recruitment and selection activities.
