This role supports the Production and Treatment Team in the day plant operations and ensuring the water quality guidelines are achieved.  Embrace a career path that’s as rewarding as it is exciting, and enjoy the stunning surroundings of Kangaroo Island, a perfect backdrop for both personal and professional growth.

This position will require intrastate travel specifically on the Fleurieu Peninsula as an essential aspect of the role to support other teams to give flexibility and coverage.  Some out of hours work and participating in an on-call roster will be required as part of this role.

About the Person

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Weekly plant inspections and data gathering / input
  • Routine plant maintenance (repair/service/calibration of plant equipment)
  • Responding to plant / equipment failures
  • The ordering and restocking of chemicals and other plant consumables
  • The monitoring of plant performance and optimisation of water treatment processes within set parameters / guidelines
  • Conduct daily operations in accordance with documented quality assured system procedures.
  • Input into development/improvement of quality system procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively to ensure team goals are achieved.

Your success in this role will come from: 

  • Ability to work under limited direction
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Be a team player and have a positive attitude
  • Have high attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • White Card
  • Current driver’s licence
  • Experience interacting with computer-based SCADA systems (desirable)
