Join us in shaping the future of water. We are inviting expressions of interest for our two-year graduate program at SA Water. This program will place you at the forefront of the water industry, offering you the chance to influence the future of water services in South Australia while you build an exciting and rewarding career.

What We Offer:

  • Program Overview: We offer a high-profile, structured yet flexible two-year graduate program that includes:
  • Three Rotations: Undertake 1 x 12-month and 2 x 6-month rotations within your discipline, with opportunities to apply your skillset across a broad range of business teams.
  • Cross-business projects with structured goal setting: Participate in high-impact projects, giving you exposure to peers and leaders within the business across numerous professional disciplines, increasing your business acumen.
  • Extensive development program and training and events calendar: Receive training in water quality awareness, presentation skills, problem solving, leading change, negotiating and influencing; and see behind the scenes of our major water and wastewater operations.

Key Program Features:

  • A structured learning and development program.
  • On-the-job learning and mentoring.
  • Work-life balance with flexible hours and hybrid working*.
    (*operational-based rotations will require work from site.)
  • Additional leave options including volunteering leave, cultural and community leave, and two days of wellbeing leave per year.

Disciplines:

  • Engineering: Civil, structural, chemical, electrical, materials.
  • Business: Accounting, commerce, finance, policy and governance, human resources, legal.
  • Science & Environment: Environmental, pure sciences, sustainability, environmental management, natural resource management.
  • Information Technology: GIS, computer and information science, data analytics, cyber security, software engineering, network engineering.

Most placements are in metropolitan Adelaide, with opportunities in outer metro and regional areas.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Contribute to the development and implementation of cutting-edge water management strategies.
  2. Participate in research and analysis to identify opportunities for process improvement and resource optimisation.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and implement best practices.
  4. Engage with stakeholders and present findings and recommendations.
  5. Continuously develop your skills and knowledge through training and professional development opportunities.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A recently completed or soon-to-be-completed degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, Information Technology or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • A passion for sustainability and environmental stewardship.
  • A willingness to learn and embrace new technologies and approaches.
