Our Operations Control Centre (OCC) is integral to monitoring, managing, and responding to operational alarms to ensure the efficient and effective operation of SA Water’s infrastructure. This role will play a key part in supporting SA Water’s Alarm Management initiatives and ensuring compliance with operational standards.

This full-time permanent opportunity, based in the heart of Adelaide CBD, will suit a detail-oriented and analytical professional who thrives on collaboration and continuous improvement.

In addition, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting SA Water’s Alarm Management initiatives, working closely with key stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and maintenance.
  • Providing technical and systems analysis to support, enhance, and manage SA Water’s OCC Alarm environment across multiple platforms.
  • Collaborating with projects delivering SCADA infrastructure, ensuring compliance with standards and successful alarm integration.
  • Delivering technical support for OCC alarms, including troubleshooting, auditing, and enhancing system performance.
  • Developing and implementing working instructions and management processes for effective alarm system governance.
  • Engaging with stakeholders to drive operational efficiencies and improve the end-user experience for system controllers.
  • Supporting SCADA Environment Team efforts related to alarm rationalisation.

Your success in this role will come from:

  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to engage with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Field-based experience and/or relevant trade qualifications.
  • Sound knowledge of telemetry and computer-based monitoring systems (SCADA) and alarm management.
  • Ability to conceptually understand and interact with databases for analysis and reporting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analytical and conceptual thinking with a proactive problem-solving approach.
