About the Role:

Do you have a passion for water and are eager to learn and be a part of our Myponga and Kangaroo Island team?

Then we want to hear from you. This role supports the Production and Treatment Team in the day plant operations and ensuring the water quality guidelines are achieved. This role gives you an opportunity to apply and learn a diverse range of skills to build a successful career in the Water and Wastewater Industry.

This position will require intrastate travel specifically on the Fleurieu Peninsula as an essential aspect of the role to support other teams to give flexibility and coverage.  Some out of hours work and participating in an on-call roster will be required as part of this role. We are seeking someone with a passion for delivering quality service to the community and is a team player.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Weekly plant inspections and data gathering / input
  • Routine plant maintenance (repair/service/calibration of plant equipment)
  • Responding to plant / equipment failures
  • The ordering and restocking of chemicals and other plant consumables
  • The monitoring of plant performance and optimisation of water treatment processes within set parameters / guidelines
  • Conduct daily operations in accordance with documented quality assured system procedures.
  • Input into development/improvement of quality system procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively to ensure team goals are achieved.
  • Rotating roster traveling to Kangaroo Island

 Skills Knowledge and Experience:

  • Ability to work under limited direction
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Be a team player and have a positive attitude
  • Have high attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • White Card
  • Current driver’s licence
  • Experience interacting with computer-based SCADA systems (desirable)
