About the role

Reporting to the Team Leader Facilities Management, this role is responsible for delivering high-quality, efficient, and compliant FM services and projects across hard and soft services. You’ll manage strategic supplier relationships, guide contract and compliance performance, and lead complex projects.

About the person

You are a solutions-oriented Facilities Management professional with the confidence and capability to lead significant projects and engage stakeholders at all levels including senior leaders. Your experience is backed by a relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Property, Construction, Project Management, or similar, or equivalent practical experience with facilities or asset management in a large, complex organisation.

About Business Insights and Excellence

The Business Insights and Excellence group drives operational excellence by enabling best business practices, economic pricing, financial management, supply chain management, and Risk Governance & Assurance to support the broader business and partners in delivering reliable, cost-effective, sustainable, and future-focused outcomes.

In addition, your responsibilities will include:

Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day.

You will:

  • Leading and delivering FM projects and solutions, including relocations, equipment renewals, workspace optimisation, contract transitions and significant scope changes.
  • Act as a key liaison and escalation point for stakeholders, suppliers, and service partners to ensure timely issue resolution and continuous service improvement.
  • Promoting innovation and sustainability in FM through initiatives in technology adoption, energy and water efficiency, waste reduction, and people experience.
  • Developing and maintaining SA Water Procedures, Guidelines and processes
  • Support service delivery through contract optimisation, performance analysis, risk assessments, and business continuity planning.
  • Collaborating with Capital Delivery and Asset Planning teams to ensure seamless project transition into operational services.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards through a risk-based safety and compliance approach
  • Providing strategic advice to senior leaders and mentoring FM team members

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • A relevant tertiary degree in Business, Property, Construction, Procurement, Project Management or equivalent experience in FM and/or asset management
  • Extensive experience in FM service delivery or contract management within a complex or regulated environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships, influence outcomes, and present strategic advice.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and implement innovative solutions.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards (WHS, DDA, NCC, etc.) and the ability to manage safety and compliance programs will be highly regarded.
