About the job
Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, this is a critical enterprise leadership role. This role is responsible for shaping and delivering SA Water's Data, AI and Analytics strategy, ensuring the organisation can harness emerging technologies while maintaining strong data governance, data quality and information management practices.
As the Senior Manager Data, AI & Analytics (Chief Data & AI Officer), you will work across the entire organisation, partnering with executives, senior leaders, operational teams and external stakeholders to influence strategic decision making and unlock business value through data and AI.
This role is about more than implementing technology. It is about making smart investment decisions, balancing innovation with business outcomes, and ensuring SA Water focuses on the solutions that will deliver the greatest value for our customers, communities and workforce.
This is a 3-year max term, full-time opportunity available.

About the Person
You are a contemporary and collaborative leader who builds strong relationships and influences at all levels of an organisation. You are equally comfortable discussing strategic direction with executives and the Board as you are partnering with teams to drive adoption and change.
You bring a proven track record leading complex data, analytics and AI functions, with the ability to translate technical concepts into meaningful business outcomes. You understand that successful AI adoption requires more than technology. It requires strong governance, stakeholder engagement, clear communication, and a practical approach to delivering value.
Most importantly, you have the credibility and foresight to guide investment decisions in a rapidly evolving technology landscape, ensuring organisations invest wisely, manage risk effectively, and remain focused on long-term outcomes.
