About the job  

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Project Manager with Civil Infrastructure experience to lead the delivery of complex and strategic projects within our Capital Delivery Group. You’ll manage large programs focused on water and wastewater infrastructure, ensuring efficient, customer-focused outcomes. Working closely with our framework partners, you’ll oversee the successful delivery of all allocated outputs on time and within budget, driving our capital investment program forward.

About the Person

You’re an experienced project leader with a passion for delivering complex infrastructure projects that make a real impact for customers and communities. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Lead and manage the delivery of multiple work packages that are highly complex due to the number of stakeholders, technical risk with capital value typically between $4m to $50m, as allocated by the Portfolio Manager
  • Manage team performance, development, and engagement to achieve customer and capital outcomes.
  • Align projects and programs with strategic goals, ensuring customer outcomes are met throughout the lifecycle.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and customer benefits.
  • Ensure governance, scope control, and achievement of project objectives within budget and timelines.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, framework partners, and external stakeholders.
  • Anticipate, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Your success in this role will come from: 

  • Proven expertise in project management, including cost control, scheduling, risk management, and change management.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related discipline, or significant industry experience.
  • Track record of delivering large, complex, or strategic infrastructure projects and programs.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to negotiate and align outcomes in complex environments.
  • Leadership experience in building and developing high-performing teams, with a focus on fostering a constructive and collaborative culture.
