This unique opportunity allows for a rewarding career and lifestyle change in beautiful remote areas. As a Team Leader overseeing operations and maintenance of the River Murray Lock and Weir structures, you’ll lead a small, dedicated team ensuring the ongoing functionality and safety of essential infrastructure. You will also support the delivery of sustainable water, environmental objectives and safe navigation through the various locks.
This role requires living onsite at Lock 9, with a house provided (rent payable). Lock 9 is situated at Lake Cullulleraine in Victoria. This position will require some weekend work.
About Operations and Maintenance
The Operations & Maintenance team oversees the management of our water, wastewater and River Murray activities and conducts operational control activities for a secure water supply. The team is responsible for both planned and unplanned maintenance activities, integrating corrective, preventive, predictive, and precision maintenance strategies. They aim to meet availability, performance, cost, and risk targets by leveraging technical asset maintenance and reliability expertise. Operations & Maintenance strives to deliver smart and reliable services to customers while enhancing overall operational efficiency.
In addition, your responsibilities will include:
Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day.

Any HR, machine operator, crane, or high-risk work licenses will be advantageous, as will a construction work White Card and Senior First Aid Certificate.
