About the job  

Our Port Lincoln team is looking for a driven, hands-on Electrician with a great attitude and willingness to learn.

This isn’t a role where you’ll be stuck in a workshop every day. You’ll travel across the Eyre Peninsula to carry out maintenance, repairs, commissioning, modifications and installations across new and existing infrastructure.

As part of a large, statewide business, you’ll work on a variety of projects and challenges while making a real difference to our customers, community and environment.

About the Person

Our ideal candidate is a skilled electrical tradesperson with a team-focused attitude who takes pride in working safely to industry standards and best practice. You’ll be confident troubleshooting issues, finding practical solutions and keeping equipment running safely and reliably, whether working independently or as part of a team.

You’ll need to be adaptable, have a strong work ethic and be comfortable working in varied environments, including remote locations, flexible hours and on-call duties.

About Operations and Maintenance 

Operations and Maintenance (O&M) is where our essential services come to life. Our teams operate and maintain water and wastewater infrastructure right across South Australia, ensuring we continue to deliver services that communities rely on every day.

Working in O&M means hands‑on, meaningful work running treatment plants, maintaining critical assets, responding to faults, and solving real‑world problems. Depending on the role, this may include rostered hours, on‑call responsibilities, or weekend work.

Be part of a safety‑first, people‑focused team where experience is valued, learning is supported, and everyone knows their work matters today and for the future of South Australia.

In addition, your responsibilities will include: 

Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day. 

You will: 

• Deliver maintenance and Capital projects to a high-quality standard.
• Display a proactive approach to workplace safety and model excellent safety behaviours.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with legislative requirements and SA Water policies and standards.
• Strong work management and planning skills.
• Participation in an on-call roster will be required.
• Work in remote and isolated locations will be required from time to time.
• Collaborate effectively to ensure team goals are achieved by providing input into decision making and problem solving.

Your success in this role will come from: 

• Electrical trade certificate and current license.
• Current valid driver’s licence.
• Relevant experience working with electrical assets in a technical field maintenance environment is desirable.
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• A can-do attitude who is eager to jump in and get the job done.
• Participate in an on-call roster.
